Our website wasn’t performing for us and we were struggling to generate sufficient new leads to grow the business. A friend introduced me to James at Mediaglue and he suggested we investigate an AdWords program. It’s funny when I hear/see people say things like ‘facebook and google ad’s don’t work’

It’s funny when I hear/see people say things like ‘facebook and google ad’s don’t work’. It not them that don’t work its you!

I know facebook ads reasonably well after spending lots of hours learning from people at the top of their game and implementing. I am still always learning and no way an expert.
When it comes to google ads though I have no idea. Obviously I can log in and set up an ad chuck, some keywords in and hope.

Usually this results in doing what every other amateur does and gets results accordingly.
I have been getting some one to one mentoring with James Yuille and I am so glad I have.
I still haven’t launched ads so I have no 100x ROI story or anything like that.
What I can say is that I can already see how much money I have saved had I gone at it alone.

All of these things from ways to segment, the types of phrases to use, ad copy etc of what I would have done vs best practice is huge.
Learning from an industry leader who deals in millions of dollars ad spend per year is priceless.

The learning here…..take the time to learn from the best as an extra month to launch and avoid lots of mistakes will save you in the long term and being able to leverage off years of experience is priceless.

How much I do not know about this concept

What I mainly learnt was “How much I do not know about this concept”
It is a totally new world out there now-a-days. Advertising to us was the good Yellow Pages book and local newspapers. Obviously if we are to survive, our market strategies have to change with the times.

I was so impressed with the knowledge James has on how to effectively get your website and the tricks and the tips of the trade there is to use when using the Internet. One session was not enough for me. I have so much to learn but it sure made me sit up and think seriously about how our business needs to change their marketing ideas.

Unfortunately for us, we have already spent thousands of dollars this year on the same old way (Yellow Pages) but we will definiely be adopting a lot of what James suggests in the coming year and moving with the times.
